I Saw God Today came off of the 2008 Troubadour record and was the first single, peaking at #19 for King George. This was his highest debut single ever on the Billboard Country Charts. The song went on to become his 43rd #1 on this chart and his 56th #1 across all charts.
Oceanfront Property
This George Strait number was released in 1987 from his 7th album, and his first album to debut at #1 on Billboards Top Country Albums Chart.
Old Troubadour
This was the second single from George's Truobadour released in 2008. This song was his 79th top 10 when it peaked at #9. Eddy Arnold holdS the record at 92 top 10's.
George Strait Facts
George Strait now holds the most #1's at 56 as of this date Jul 08. He broke the old record which was held by Conway Twitty.
Only The Beatles and Elvis have more hit records than King George as he is known in country music.
George's parents divorced when he was in the 3rd grade and he and his brother chose to live with their father.
King George graduated from Texas State Univ in San Marcos Texas with a degree in agriculture.
